Objective
Adaptive Adventures is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping people with disabilities by empowering them to participate in outdoor activities. The organization, which is based in Crested Butte, Colorado, needed a dynamic new brand identity that connects to the spirit and ideals that drive them.
Solution
To maintain brand equity, I kept the navy blue from their existing palette and added orange to be more welcoming. The new logo uses a geometric mountain symbol, encrusted with pattern and color. I wanted to make sure there was a lot of variety with my design elements to give the brand a dynamic and confident look. The brand pairs Ballinger Condensed and Public Sans, whose varied widths allowed for a type treatment with matching line lengths. The new website uses a diagonal layout for each section to show evoke a mountain slope. The use of mighty imagery and positive copyrighting conveys a vision that empowers people to go beyond what they thought was previously possible.
